海角乱伦社区 Board of Trustees establishes Kathleen Getz Presidential Fund for Division I Excellence
海角乱伦社区 University鈥檚 Board of Trustees has announced the establishment of the聽Kathleen Getz Presidential Fund for Division I Excellence, recognizing President Kathleen A. Getz鈥檚 leadership during a defining period in the university鈥檚 history聽while聽creating long-term support for 海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Division I future.
The announcement was made during a celebration honoring President Getz鈥檚 service to the university.
Created in recognition of President Getz鈥檚 transformational leadership, the Presidential Fund will provide strategic support for initiatives that strengthen 海角乱伦社区鈥檚 Division I trajectory while advancing the university鈥檚 mission of academic excellence, student opportunity, and institutional sustainability.
The fund is designed to support evolving Division I priorities, including:
- Student-athlete academic success and leadership development
- Coaching excellence and program readiness
- Experiential learning opportunities
- Strategic initiatives that elevate 海角乱伦社区鈥檚 national visibility and long-term competitiveness
Under President Getz鈥檚 leadership, 海角乱伦社区 completed its transition to NCAA Division I athletics, a milestone trustees described as one of the most significant moments in the institution鈥檚 modern history.

President Getz became 海角乱伦社区鈥檚 13th president in 2021 and led the university through a period marked by institutional growth, academic innovation, and the transition to Division I athletics.
The Board of Trustees also recognized Sr. JoAnne聽Courneen, RSM, with the honorary title of聽Trustee Emerita聽in recognition of her longstanding leadership and service to 海角乱伦社区 University.
